North Bay Air Cooled is proud to announce Buckhorn Grill will be providing a food truck for our 2017 VW Car Show! If you love BBQ, you need to try Buckhorn!
The idea of the Buckhorn Grill was born out of the success of the product at the Chef’s Market in Napa, CA. Buckhorn sold thousands of Tri-Tip sandwiches at the market on Friday nights. Because of this success, in 1999, the first Buckhorn Grill opened in the Metreon, located in San Francisco, CA. Each Buckhorn Grill is uniquely designed and provides a friendly, family atmosphere with Really Good Food, Real Fast.
If you’ve never been, you should try them! NBAC President Alex Weeks says “I’m not sure which is my favorite, their tri-tip or the pulled pork!”

When the bell rings, schools are out but the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys and Girls Clubs (VNBGC) are in. Unfortunately, 1/3 of Vacaville’s kids have no place to go leaving them at risk of being unsupervised, unguided, and unsafe. The definition of “at risk” is no longer defined as just low income or underserved youths. We know all too well that children in middle and upper income families deal with just as many social and personal issues.
Ensuring a safe, productive place for kids to spend out-of-school time is vital. Their goal at The Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club is to inspire youth to believe in themselves and to enhance their lives through the programs brought to them by their compassionate staff. VNBGC provide Vacaville’s youth with life-changing programs that develop a desire for learning and believe that every young person deserves a great future.

We all love the classic Volkswagen ads from the “mad men” era. This week’s “media Monday” is from 1965. “Is the small car going out of the picture?” 1964 is considered to be the start of the “Muscle Car Era”. With Chevy, Ford, and others producing muscle cars many people questioned the future of VW. However, the little car never lost popularity.
We all love the classic Volkswagen ads from the “mad men” era. This week’s “media Monday” is from 1965. Great pun. Remember a few months back I shared the theory about why we love the VW shape? If we smoothed out the angle around the windshield, wouldn’t this look like the outline of the human eye?
We all love the classic Volkswagen ads from the “mad men” era. This week’s “media Monday” is from 1965. This ad screams 1965! I would love to build a car like this. This ad was a great reminder why the VW was so easy to maintain. No other car company could produce and ad like this.
We all love the classic Volkswagen ads from the “mad men” era. This week’s “media Monday” is from 1965. A big 2 page ad comparing technology to race car technology. The race car in the ad is quite the contrast to the VW.
We all love the classic Volkswagen ads from the “mad men” era. This week’s “media Monday” is from 1965. This one features the Ghia. “It almost seems a shame to put a Volkswagen engine in it.” How many companies would poke fun at themselves this way?
